This critter ran across the road in front of my motorcycle. I thought I was seeing a large cat. It crossed right to left towards the river. This occured on rt.112 in Huntington a mile north of the dam overlook area.

what time of day? was the tail as long as the body? though i have never seen one, and i am no biologist, sounds like it could have been a mountain lion to me. gary sanderson in the greenfield recorder writes about sightings like this in western Massachusetts.
